Central Library
Welcome to Central Library, Shaheed Matangini Hazra Sarkar General Degree College for Women (SMHGGDC). The Central Library plays an important role in the academic mission of SMHGGDC by disseminating information and knowledge.
In short, it currently contains more than 4000+ texts and general books. The institute has access to more than 1000 e-books and 50 e-journals from different publishers and aggregators. The library also has subscribed to popular magazines. Library services are automated through Koha, a globally recognized open-source library management software.
All the physical and electronic resources and services like its web-based library catalog, new arrival books, etc. are regularly updated through an interactive library web portal https://library.matanginicollege.ac.in. Students, faculty members, and staff can access this portal using internet.
